Education Drug Free Sport NZ (DFSNZ) has a responsibility to "provide education on the use of drugs and doping methods in sport". In view of the apparently low level of drug use amongst NZ athletes DFSNZ has progressively increased the emphasis on the education programmes. DFSNZ produces a variety of material including pamphlets, fact sheets, and a video as well as running seminars for groups of athletes, coaches and others. National Sporting Organisations (NSO) also have a core responsibility to ensure that their members have all the information they need to understand, comply with and support the anti-doping programme. It is only when DFSNZ and NSO's work in close partnership that the education programme can meet its objectives. Responsibilities of Sports Organisations
Sports Organisations are expected to provide as many opportunities as possible for their athletes to receive information and education from DFSNZ. This should include:
Most of the resources are available from the website. The site also contains links to other anti-doping web sites many of which hold valuable educational information.
