World Anti-Doping Code and ProgrammeThe Code is the fundamental and universal document upon which the World Anti-Doping Programme in sport is based, it provides the harmonised framework for anti-doping policies, rules, and regulations within sport organisations and among public authorities. The purpose of The Code is to advance the ant-doping effort through universal harmonisation of core anti-doping elements. The code has over 600 signatories internationally including in New Zealand, DFSNZ, the NZOC and Paralympics NZ. The purpose of the World Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Programme which supports it are:
International Standards for TestingThe World Anti-Doping Code (The Code) works in conjunction with International Standards aimed at bringing harmonisation among anti-doping organisations. These International Standards are in five different technical areas: Prohibited List Testing Laboratories Therapeutic Use Exemptions Protection of Privacy and Personal Information The International Standards have been developed through a consultation process among all WADA stakeholders and are reviewed as necessary, through this consultation process. These standards are mandatory for all signatories to The Code. |
