Athletes at the ILT velodrome in Invercargill tested their anti-doping knowledge, and gathered valuable resources as part of the Drug Free Sport NZ outreach programme today. An education seminar was also provided for the National Under 19 squad as they await announcements of selections for the impending world championships. “It’s great that we can get this vital information to our athletes while they are so young” said Mike McRedmond, manager of the New Zealand Under 19 track team. Many athletes affirmed their stance against doping in sport by signing the drug free pledge and proudly wearing the green armband while they competed.
