Anti-Doping Seminars

Education seminars (anti-doping seminars) are at the core of Drug Free Sport New Zealand's Education Programme.

Seminars are designed to reinforce the values of clean sport and to provide key information to athletes.
Seminars include:
  • The current rules that apply to athletes.
  • The current WADA Prohibited List and discussion around its contents.
  • How to avoid inadvertent doping using DFSNZ's athlete support services.
  • A demonstration of a doping control test.
  • Distribution of athlete resources and tools to assist them.
Seminars are delivered by experienced anti-doping educators and can be tailored specifically for the audience as required.  Each seminar take approximately 45 minutes.

Online Seminar

Drug Free Sport NZ has created a comprehensive online video seminar designed for athletes who require a refresher or are not able to attend one of the face education seminars. While the seminar has been designed to cover all of the important aspects of the programme it is not intended as a replacement for the more interactive face to face seminars.

How to complete the online seminar?

DFSNZ works with High Performace Sport NZ and National Sport Organisations to plan these on behalf of elite athletes and their support staff.
To inquire about the online seminar for an individual, a team or another relevant sporting group, contact DFSNZ on 0800DRUGFREE(378437) or email Education to discuss any requirements.
