Drug Free Sport NZ always advises to check on the status of medications and supplements before you take them. In order to do this you can use one of the following services.

DRUG SPACE

For easy instructions text the words 'drug info'to 4365.

This is a world first service that allows you to check on the status of a medication 24 hours a day 7 days a week from your mobile phone.
Simply text the word drug, followed by a space , then ingredient name or the product name to 4365.
You will receive a message back informing you of the status of the medication or ingredient in sport.
You can even check what medications are permitted in sport for a particular illness or symptom by texting the word drug, followed by a space, then the symptom or illness to 4365.

Texts cost 20 cents per message.

You can also call us on our 0800 number to check on the status of medications or supplements from anywhere in New Zealand.

Quick Tips before you check...

• If you can, call us before you purchase the medication or the prescribing doctor has completed the script. That way you can avoid costs if you are prescribed something on the prohibited list, or you can more accurately give us all the information on the label.
• If you already have the medication or supplement, remember to have the bottle or pack with you so we can assist as much as possible.
• Remember that we cannot guarantee any supplements. We can however assist with information about certain supplements that are considered high risk - so always call before taking any supplement. For more information on supplements - click here.
