Graeme Steel - Executive Director BA(Hons), Dip Tchg

mug_steel.jpgGraeme has been involved in anti-doping work since setting up a testing programme at the NZOC in 1988/89.He has been the Executive Director of the Agency since its establishment in 1993.He is a former teacher who has had extensive involvement in sport as an athlete, coach and administrator.He was a national volleyball representative 1973-85 and President of Volleyball NZ 1990-93.He still participates in Soccer, Touch and Cricket.

Jayne Kernohan - Programme Director

mug_kernohan.jpgJayne joined the Agency in 1993 after careers in radio and sport management. Since that time Jayne has been responsible for managing the operation of the Testing & Education Programmes.
Jayne was involved in the formulation of the International Standard for Doping Control and led Doping Control Teams in three sports during the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

David Ho - Programme Manager

mug_dave.jpgDave graduated with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Auckland, and has been involved with the Drug Free Sport NZ since 1999 as a Drug Testing Official. He joined the Agency full-time in March 2004 after working in the telecommunications industry. His primary role with the Agency is to assist in the daily operations of the testing programme. Dave has a keen interest in many sports, particularly basketball, and volleyball.

Helen Eyles - Programme Manager

Helen joined the Agency in July 2004 after graduating with an MSc in Human Nutrition from the University of Otago.In addition to her main role assisting in the daily running of the testing programme, she also gains experience of the testing process by working as a Drug Testing Official for the Agency.Helen's own sporting interests focus on long-distance running and swimming. However, she also participates in social sport and has a keen interest in general health and fitness.

Andrew Sylvester - Education Progamme Manager

Andrew joined the Agency in November 2005 after previous roles in IT and as a course co-ordinator in the School of Sport at Unitec in Auckland. Andrew's primary role is the design and delivery of educational material and communication with the sports community on behalf of Drug Free Sport New Zealand. Andrew is a keen rugby league player and also enjoys Tag Football, AFL and touch over the summer months.
