Prohibited Substances
A new WADA Prohibited List takes effect on January 1 of every year. The list is normally available from the Drug Free Sport NZ's website from the beginning of October. DFSNZ's advice to athletes, doctors, parents and support staff is to become familiar with the contents of the prohibited list.
The list below serves as a quick reference of the classes of prohibited substances and methods and their status in and out of competition. The current WADA Prohibited List can be downloaded.
